OGP Local Awards 2021
Opens Jul 1 2021 00:01 (EDT)
Deadline Oct 1 2021 17:00 (EDT)
Description

Through the Innovation Awards, OGP will look for innovative and impactful initiatives and provide targeted support for empowering reformers to drive results and share progress with the global community. We welcome awards applications for innovative commitments, which we will judge against the following criteria:

  • New: it has not been done before in the context,

  • Relevant: it addresses a current problem,

  • Feasible: it can be done within the context and resources, and

  • Create value: it serves people's and governments' needs.

The Innovation Awards contains two tracks. For additional information about the awards, see the OGP Local Awards webpage.

  1. Spotlight Award: This track seeks to highlight innovative commitments from Local program participants to showcase creativity and inspire governments and civil society to innovate as well. We will hold a People’s Choice voting process to select the most innovative commitments to highlight globally.

  1. Accelerator Award: This track seeks to help overcome the challenges in implementing innovative commitments and provide technical support for implementation. Local participants may submit for consideration to the award a commitment with high potential for results and which would benefit from technical assistance of up to $10,000 USD in in-kind support.

  • This application may ONLY be filled out by the POC to ensure coordination between government, civil society, and other relevant stakeholders by 23:59 (11:59pm) EDT on Monday, September 13th.

  • You may submit a maximum of TWO commitments for consideration for each award type. You may submit the same commitments for consideration under both awards, or different commitments for each award type.
